Use this tool to quickly calculate XOR checksums.
XOR checksum is a simple error-detection algorithm commonly used in computer networks and data communication. It operates by performing an XOR operation on each byte of data, creating a running checksum. This XOR checksum is then appended to the data for transmission or storage. Upon receiving the data, the same XOR operation is applied to the received bytes, including the appended checksum. If the calculated checksum matches the received checksum, the data is deemed error-free. Otherwise, errors are detected. While XOR checksums offer basic error detection capabilities, they are not as robust as more advanced checksum algorithms like CRC.
